Open Knowledge Foundation Greece is the Greek chapter of the international Open Knowledge Foundation. It promotes open data, transparency, and civic participation through digital tools, public sector collaboration, and community-driven initiatives.
I was responsible for leading a student research team within the framework of Open Knowledge Greece, focusing on the use of open data for environmental insights in the metropolitan area of Thessaloniki. The interdisciplinary team brought together students from the Department of Information and Electronic Engineering and the Department of Environmental Engineering at the International Hellenic University. Our work culminated in the creation of a research poster, which was proudly presented at BEYOND Expo, Thessaloniki’s international exhibition on Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies.
